John the Baptist: A Biblical Example of Humility (Youth Message Outline)
Students today are bombarded by television and media showing them examples of prideful and arrogant behavior. But, is this what God wants for us? Humility can be a difficult concept to students to understand. Jesus was the most humble person who ever lived! He was so humble he gave his life for us, even when we didn’t deserve it! This series will seek to introduce students to the Biblical concept of humility and bring kids closer to understanding the amazing character of God! This series was designed for January 2024, but can be used in any 4 week month!

HUMILITY: Knowing our gifts come from God and not from us.
MEMORY VERSE: “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” James 4:10 NIV
John the Baptist
Scripture: John 3:22-36
John the Baptist was preaching and baptizing before Jesus started his ministry. In this lesson, kids will look at John the Baptist: A Biblical Example of Humility.
Objective: Students will learn that each person who comes to faith in Christ receives the Holy Spirit and is endowed with a spiritual gift for the sake of serving the Church.
