"Our Big God" Humility COMPLETE Curriculum Bundle

“Our Big God” Humility Series Lesson Overview
HUMILITY: Knowing our gifts come from God and not from us.
MEMORY VERSE: “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” James 4:10 NIV
LESSONS:
Week 1. King Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream
Scripture: Daniel 4
Pride can cause a lot of problems! It also shows that we aren’t giving credit where credit is due. In this lesson, kids will learn how God taught King Nebuchadnezzar to be humble.
Objective: Kids will learn that all our gifts come from God.
Week 2. Naaman’s Healing
Scripture: 2 Kings 5:1-19
Naaman was a wonderful soldier, but he had a terrible skin disease. In this lesson, kids will learn how God used a miracle to humble Naaman, heal him, and make him a believer!
Objective: Kids will learn that following God’s way is better than following our way.
Week 3. Jesus Condemns the Pharisees
Scripture: Matthew 23:1-12, 25-28
Jesus had many problems with the way that the Pharisees treated others. In this lesson, kids will learn how Jesus expects us to treat other people.
Objective: Kids will learn that Jesus wants us to treat others as we would want to be treated.
Week 4. John the Baptist
Scripture: John 3:22-36
John the Baptist was preaching and baptizing before Jesus started his ministry. In this lesson, kids will learn how John reacted with humility when people started following Jesus instead of him.
Objective: Kids will learn that when we put Jesus first, we become less and he becomes more.

Memory Verse - so that you can make sure kids always have access to Scripture in their hearts and minds even when the going gets tough!
Opening Activity - so you can get the kids engaged as soon as service begins! This activity is a fun way to get kids excited to be in church and better yet, prepare them to hear the Bible Lesson!
