"Point to God" Application Activity: Toddler, Preschool, & Elementary
Kids today are bombarded by television and media showing them examples of prideful and arrogant behavior. But, is this what God wants for us? Humility can be a difficult concept to adults to understand. Jesus was the most humble person who ever lived! He was so humble he gave his life for us, even when we didn’t deserve it! This series will seek to introduce children to the Biblical concept of humility and bring kids closer to understanding the amazing character of God!

Activity Overview
HUMILITY: Knowing our gifts come from God and not from us.
MEMORY VERSE: “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” James 4:10 NIV
CONNECTED LESSON:
John the Baptist
Scripture: John 3:22-36
John the Baptist was preaching and baptizing before Jesus started his ministry. In this lesson, kids will learn how John reacted with humility when people started following Jesus instead of him.
Objective: Kids will learn that when we put Jesus first, we become less and he becomes more.

Application Activity- so kids can see how the Bible story and their own lives connect. This game or craft activity is designed to challenge kids to find ways to live out what they’ve leaned!
