Students today are bombarded by television and media showing them examples of prideful and arrogant behavior. But, is this what God wants for us? Humility can be a difficult concept to students to understand. Jesus was the most humble person who ever lived! He was so humble he gave his life for us, even when we didn’t deserve it! This series was designed for January 2024, but can be used in any 4 week month!

MEMORY VERSE: “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” James 4:10 NIV
Jesus Condemns the Pharisees
Scripture: Matthew 23:1-12, 25-28
Jesus had many problems with the way that the Pharisees treated others. In this lesson, students will look at the Pharisees: A Biblical Example of Hypocrisy.
Objective: Students will learn that no amount of good works can save a person, and Jesus’ paying the penalty for our sin is the only way to be reconciled to God.

Memory Verse - so that you can make sure students always have access to Scripture in their hearts and minds even when the going gets tough!
Opening Activity - so you can get the students engaged as soon as service begins! This activity is a fun way to get kids excited to be in church!
